Do Not Feed
Below is a list of common human foods that should not be fed to dogs:
- Chocolate
- Caffeinated drinks
- Onions
- Garlic
- Macadamia Nuts
- Sugar-free gums made with Sorbitol
- Alcohol
- Grapes/Raisins
- Raw Pork
- Yeast Dough
Another group of vegetables, called ‘Nightshade’ vegetables have been linked to certain health issues with dogs and should probably be avoided, if at all possible. These issues include skin problems, gastrointestinal problems, arthritis, and calcium problems.
Nightshade Vegetables:
- Eggplants
- Green peppers
- Potatoes (sweet potatoes, however, are great for dogs)
- Spinach
- Tomatoes
