I decided to do an organic dog food comparison. There is a lot of controversy over what is considered an organic dog food. Although the organic definitions and guidelines are stricter than other labeling on dog foods, there is still room for confusion. Therefore, as always, Buyer Beware – look at the ingredients in your dog food before buying to be sure of what you are getting.
In the previous post on dog food ingredients, I talked about preservatives and meats. And don’t worry if it is too confusing at first. It took me several times of going to the store and looking at all the ingredients, before I really got a feel for how to quickly judge a quality vs. crap dog food.

We all love our dogs and want to give them the best life has to offer. But with so many variations of dog food in the market, it is hard to compare dog foods to identify the healthiest dog food . And the dog food packaging makes us even more nervous about buying with enticing adverts like: “rich in antioxidants,” “highly digestible,” “Omega-3 fatty acids” and “Ultra Premium Formula”. Does our dog need these?
